ProMed Comes Through!
The Coalition and Rabbit Information Service of Australia have jointly been asking the ProMed mailing list’s moderators to post information regarding the close of the investigation of the New York Outbreak. After two weeks of emails, they have finally posted correspondence from a USDA official regarding the outbreak and the findings of the investigation.The information that this post contains is the information that would normally have come directly from the Emergency Management team through their Emergency Management Warning Email service. We would like to thank Marguerite Wegner, and any others we are not aware of, for joining us in this effort.
We would also like to publicly thank the moderators of ProMed who, according to the post, asked several important questions. From the contents of the post, it seems that our questions were taken seriously by the moderators who seem to have posed the same to the USDA. We are very grateful for their efforts. It appeared to us that the USDA was going to quietly walk away. Thank you ProMed.
